An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is a legally valid document which provides an energy efficiency rating (displayed on an A-G scale) in relation to a property’s running costs. This rating will take into account the potential energy performance of the property itself (the fabric) and its services (heating, lighting, hot water etc)
Whether you're a property owner, landlord or business in need of one EPC certificate or many, we can help.
A ‘Stock Condition Survey’ is an inspection of the inside and outside of your home. These help us to assess the age and condition of each building element, so we can plan possible future improvements. We undretake these surveys to comply with the Government’s ‘Decent Home Standard’. It helps ensure all homes are safe and maintained to the decent standard.
A thorough assessment of your home which is conducted by a skilled and experienced retrofit assessor, will indicate the improvements needed to cut fuel bills and carbon emissions and improve comfort and health. It will consider things like your flood and radon gas risk levels and whether your existing ventilation system is adequate, alongside suggesting energy-efficiency improvements and options for your heating system.
A Retrofit Coordinator is a person qualified as a specialist retrofit project manager, taking overall responsibility for overseeing the assessment of dwellings, the identification, specification and evaluation of energy efficiency measures for installation at a given property as a single project, and their subsequent monitoring and evaluation.
Detailed design is crucial for a successful retrofit project. It allows for all foreseeable issues to be solved prior to commencing on site, giving you greater cost and quality control and reducing the risk of unintended consequences and the ‘performance gap’. Using standard details will not be sufficient in most cases. Each building will need an individual assessment and a bespoke detailed design package.
